Following a fire at a McDonald's restaurant in Frankfort, Ky., GRW was selected by the McDonald's Corporation to prepare site development plans, design construction documents and permitting for the new restaurant constructed on the existing site. The new, larger restaurant encompasses the existing lot and an adjacent lot. A major component of the site work included stormwater management to minimize the stormwater impact to adjacent properties.
GRW architectural and engineering staff provided construction management services throughout the project. Prior to construction of the new restaurant, GRW performed a structural evaluation of the fire-damaged building, and recommended demolition as the most cost-effective solution.
GRW's engineering team is also providing similar services for other McDonald's restaurants.
