Comprehend Medical Office Building Exterior Rendering, Maysville, KY
GRW designed and is providing construction phase services for a 26,000 SF addition to Comprehend's existing headquarters facility in Maysville, KY. The new space provides space for clinical and administrative functions in a welcoming, secure manner that also promotes Comprehend’s brand and identity. The nonprofit organization has provided quality behavioral health services to communities in northern Kentucky for over 50 years.
A few characteristics of the space :
- Large, open atrium and public circulation space allow easy wayfinding and tie the existing clinic to the addition while defining public, clinical, and administrative zones.
- Color, natural materials, daylighting, and views to the outside enhance the sense of comfort and well-being of both clients and staff.
- Multifunctional spaces facilitate owner’s needs for training and meeting spaces as well as serve after-hours functions for the community.
The building responds to a complex, steeply sloped site by incorporating expanded parking into the lower level adjacent to primary public and staff entrances. Construction is being phased to keep the existing clinic and support functions operational.
