I. Advertisement for Bid- Section 00 1113- Bid Date Change
Modify the Bid Opening Date described in the first paragraph to read:
........ Will be received by the Owner at the office of the City Utilities Commission of Corbin at
1515 Cumberland Falls Highway, Corbin, KY 40701 until 2:00p.m. (Local time) on Tuesday,  October 15, 2019, and then at said office opened and publicly read aloud.

 

Sealed Bids for the Master Street Sewer Main Upgrade project consisting of the construction and

replacement of approximately 2,600 l.f. of existing 10” VCP sewer line with 24” PVC sewer line that runs

down the center turning lane of KY Highway 312, this includes: removal and replacement of eight (8)

manholes; installation of three (3) new manholes (4’ and 5’ diameter); abandoning two (2) manholes in

place; reconnection of twenty‐two (22) service laterals, and all surface restoration required to complete

the work as specified and shown on the Drawings will be received by the Owner at the office of the City

Utilities Commission of Corbin at 1515 Cumberland Falls Highway, Corbin, KY 40701 until 2:00 p.m.

(local time) on Tuesday October 15, 2019 and then at said office opened and publicly read aloud.

 

General Contractors (Prospective Bidders) Note Pre‐qualification Requirements:

The Corbin City Utilities Commission is requiring all prospective bidders to be pre‐qualified to bid this

project. Pre‐qualification requirements only apply to General Contractors. Pre‐qualification

requirements and forms can be obtained at the following address:

Upon review of the above requested information and after a determination that the prospective bidder

is satisfactory to the City Utilities Commission, the prospective bidder will be approved to submit a bid

for the project. Any bid submitted by a contractor that is not prequalified by the City Utilities

Commission will not be accepted.

 

The BIDDING DOCUMENTS, consisting of Advertisement for Bids, Instructions to Bidders, Bid, Bid Bond,

Agreement, Notice of Award form, Notice to Proceed form, Construction Performance Bond,

Construction Payment Bond, Sample Certificate of Insurance form, Application for Payment form,

General Conditions, Supplemental General Conditions, Change Order form, Technical Specifications,

Addenda, and Drawings, may be examined at the following locations:

Plan Room http://www.grwinc.com/plan‐room upon payment of $ 130.00 . Digital copies of the

bidding documents will be transmitted to the Bidder with the purchase of the printed bidding

documents. Payment is not refundable. Bids from anyone not on the Engineer’s Plan Holders List will

not be opened.

A pre‐bid conference will be held at 10:00 a.m. (local time) on September 19, 2019 at the 1515

Cumberland Falls Highway, Corbin, KY 40701. Attendance at the pre‐bid conference is highly

encouraged but is not mandatory.
